LGBT Youth Scotland is working towards the inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender young people in the life of Scotland.We provide a range of services and opportunities for young people, families and professionals which aim to increase awareness and confidence; as well as reducing isolation and intolerance. We support Scotland's LGBT Youth Council - the network of LGBT young people - and the network of LGBT youth group leaders. We were established in November 1989 by members of the LGBT community in Edinburgh and became a national organisation in April 2003. LGBT Youth has done alot of good work in Dumfries & Galloway, and has alot of people under their wings, giving them support and a voice.

Mixed bag is a club night set up for over 18s in the Dumfries & Galloway area.
It is a zero tollerance monthly event held at 'The Birkhill Hotel' in Dumfries on the last Friday of every month. Starting at 9pm monthly it goes on till late, with bar for chatting, conservatory for dancing and watching the resident DJ's and a fab outdoor courtyard for mingling, especially in the spring, summer and autumn evenings.
Entry is £2 on the door, with regular live entertainment.
Open to all, Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual or Transgender, friends and friendly, or just gay friendly.
