Welcome to Charity Case

Re-vamp for our Filed of Hope.

The Field of Hope, Cuckoo Bridge, Dumfries.

We are hoping to re-vamp the 'Mare Curie Field of Hope' in Dumfries, in 2008, to celebrate 60 years of nursing care.

As you can see from the photo's on the right, the Field of Hope is currently a long patch of land, with lots of trees, with daffodils growing randomly all around. This section of land is alongside the main roundabout opposite the 24hr Tesco's, and between a carpark for the sports centre and the footpath for the park. There is no deffinition for this patch of land to stand out as a Field of Hope, apart from a sign. There is no private or secluded space for people to sit and contemplate those loved ones that are dying or passed away. The entrance to the Field of Hope is a large dip, that is wildly overgrown with weeds and dead grass, and the end of the Field of Hope is boggy with a small brook that is un-covered.

To tidy this up we need some help........

If you can help in any way, as a landscaping business, a sculptor, a gardener or as a volunteer, please get in touch via the form below.

Thankyou.
