The Teddy Bears Gathering 2007

         

The Teddy Bears Gathering took place on Friday 23rd February 2007, at The Costa Coffee shop in Dumfries. It was held from 18:30 - 21:00.

This was to raise funds for 'The Baton Twirlers' of Dumfries.

The Evening was a huge success with a huge turn-out raising a fantastic:

£290:00

This was raised with: 

•  a tombola (£1 for 5 tickets.
• a raffle, £1 a strip or 6 for £5
• bingo, £1 for a strip of 6 cards.

We also had, colouring activity books, put together by Steven, a treasure hunt, and a special appearance by Brewster Bear, this was all free. The end of the night brought the Best Dressed Teddy Bear competition, which was won by:-

Jade Hughes

-who's teddy was dressed as a majorette. Denyse (manager of Costa Coffe), was the independant judge for this competition, and she said she "chose that bear for the way it was dressed, and the link it had with the reason the funds were being raised".

• All the Parents & Children that attended, for being so well behaved.
